PROCEDURE FOR RECOVERY OF OIL WITH CHEMICAL "DISOLVITE" FROM CRUDE OIL SLUDGE
1 Bringing down the level of tank content to sludge level and measure the sludge quantity.
2 Replace the manhole cover with a cover.
3 Add any solvent like, Diesel , light cycle oil, Kerosene etc equal to sludge quantity as a diluent of the oil content of the sludge.
4 Establish the circulation system.
5 Start the circulation system,
6 Inject the chemical DISOLVITE into the tank content at the VENTURY like inject point given in the circulation system.
7 Heat the tank content to 69 C to 70 C, while continuing the circulation.
8 Add water if required to increase the level of the content
9 Check the sludge position intermittently and continue the circulation till the sludge is dissolved and mixed with the dilutent.
10 Stop the circulation and allow the content to settle down into three clear levels of Hydrocarbon-Water and MuckMud.
11 Transfer the Hydrocarbon with outlet pipeline of the manhole cover, till all the oil is transferred while keeping the temperature above 40 C or above.
12 Water may be drained to API.
13 Bottom solid may be taken out with manual help or with water jet.
14 Inspection of the tank and handover.
